The German-Kurdish Soprano Pervin Chakar is not only a refined interpreter of the operatic repertoire, but also and above all a tireless divulger of the musical repertoire of her homeland and proposed by her through transcriptions for Western instruments in order to bring it closer to the general public without ever distorting it.
She graduated with honors from the “Conservatorio F. Morlacchi” in Perugia in Italy.
She won the first prize of the Maria Caniglia competition in Sulmona, the second Magda Olivero prize in Milan and then the “Orfeo D’oro” Gran Prix Leyla Gencer from the Academié Disque du Lyrique in Paris and the Semiha Berksoy Opera Foundation in Ankara, awarded her as best female voice and the magazine Andante, Donizetti Award Best Female Voice in Istanbul.
